长期从事雷电物理、雷电探测及防护技术、雷电科学与高能辐射及相关灾害性天气的研究工作。负责主持国家自然科学基金委资助项目三项，以及校级、院级等科研项目。参与完成了国家杰出青年科学基金、中科院知识创新工程和基金委面上项目多项。发表SCI论文、核心期刊论多篇。参与完成的科研成果获得省级自然科学进步二等奖。
