Dr. Ma Xing holds a PhD in Economics of Education and Educational Management from Beihang University, and was a visiting scholar at Indiana University, USA. Her main research interests include higher education evaluation and quality assurance, student learning outcome assessment, and comparative education. She has presided over projects such as a general program of the National Social Science Fund of China, a general program of the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education, a general program of the Jiangsu Provincial Social Science Fund, and a key program of Jiangsu Postgraduate Education and Teaching Reform. She has published more than 20 papers in core journals including China Higher Education Research and University Education Science.

She teaches courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students, including Principles of Education, Educational Research Methods, Education Policy and Regulations, Higher Education Management, and Study of Classics in Higher Education. She is a recipient of the Second Prize of Jiangsu Provincial Teaching Achievement Award.
