Profile

Professor and doctoral supervisor. Research interests center on hydro-meteorology and the water-cycle response to climate change. Led a dozen national projects that explored how hydrological components and extremes are shifting, how climate and human activities affect water resources, and how to assess the risks of hydro-meteorological events. So far, 250+ peer-reviewed papers—about 140 in SCI journals such as Nature Communications, PNAS and BAMS—have appeared, along with 18 edited or co-edited books. These studies have received nine provincial or ministerial science-and-technology awards.
