Xiong Pingping is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Nanjing University of Information Technology. I am currently the executive director of the Grey System Professional Committee of the China Association for Optimal Selection and Economic Mathematics. Since July 2006, I have worked at the School of Mathematics and Statistics and the School of Management Engineering at Nanjing University of Information Technology. I have undertaken teaching tasks such as Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematical Finance, Statistical Forecasting and Decision Making, Grey System Theory, Practical Regression Analysis, and Applied Stochastic Processes.
I have been engaged in research on grey system theory and its applications, as well as financial statistical prediction and analysis for a long time. Led multiple provincial and ministerial level projects, including the General Project of the National Social Science Foundation, the Youth Project of the National Natural Science Foundation (later evaluation: Excellent), the Planning Project and Youth Project of the Ministry of Education's Humanities and Social Sciences Fund, the Postdoctoral Program of China, the General Project of Jiangsu Province's Social Sciences, the Jiangsu Province Soft Science, the Jiangsu Province Key Project of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Higher Education Institutions, and the General Project of Jiangsu Province's Natural Science Research in Higher Education Institutions. Participated in one major national social science project and three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. I have published over 40 papers in journals such as Energy, Science of the Total Environment, Applied Mathematical Modeling, Applied Soft Computing, Grey System: Theory and Application, Journal of Cleaner Production, System Engineering Theory and Practice, Chinese Management Science, Operations Research and Management.
