Description of Research Group:Under the "meteorology, ocean, space" framework, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, leveraging its "Atmospheric Science" discipline, established master's and doctoral programs in space weather in 2009 and set up the Space Weather Research Institute in 2013. This program focuses on cutting-edge Sun-Earth space environment issues, developing research directions such as solar activity, solar wind-magnetosphere interaction, and space weather disasters. It emphasizes studying the physics of the magnetosphere, ionosphere, and thermosphere; space weather modeling; and disaster forecasting.
