Personal Information
Xiaochen Zhu obtained his Ph.D. degree in 3S Integration and Meteorological Applications from Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology in June 2017. His research endeavors primarily focus on refined meteorological services, disaster prevention and mitigation through meteorology, and the applications of smart meteorology. He has contributed to over 20 scientific publications, with 10 of them being SCI-indexed papers where he served as either the first author or corresponding author. During the periods of October 2015 to October 2016 and February to June 2018, he served as a visiting scholar at Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, University of Kentucky, USA. Moreover, he had led one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China for young scholars and one university talent initiation project. Additionally, he had participated in one national key Research and Development (R&D) program and two National Natural Science Foundation research projects. In recognition of his contributions, he was selected for the 2022 Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Deputy General Project. Furthermore, he had been honored with one provincial and ministerial-level award (2nd place) and one municipal-level award (2nd place). Additionally, he holds seven authorized invention patents. Furthermore, he has mentored students to achieve notable success, guiding them to secure two national-level innovation projects. Among their achievements are one first prize, six second prizes, and three third prizes in national innovation and entrepreneurship competitions or subject competitions.
