现主要研究方向为人工智能及大数据分析理论,具体有:大规模异质数据的关联性知识挖掘,机器学习理论,多源遥感数据分析(卫星图像的分类、分割、识别等)、电力大数据分析、电力人工智能。主持国家自然科学基金2项,江苏省自然科学基金1项,国家电网科技计划项目10多项。在国内外杂志发表论文100多篇,论文被引3700多次,ESI高被引论文10多篇,入选2023年、2024年全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单。拥有发明授权发明专利8项,获得省部级科技进步奖一等奖1项、二等奖2项。 担任中国自动化学会混合智能专委会委员以及多个国际期刊的编辑和特刊的客座主编。
