My research interest including deep learning, evolutionary computing, machine learning, and computer vision. I hosted or hosting five projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), etc. I  Participated in more than 10 provincial and ministerial projects. I have published more than 100 academic papers in journals, and the published papers have been cited more than 2400 times. One paper was selected as one of the top 1‰ ESI Hot Papers with global influence and was also selected as one of the 100 most influential International academic papers in China in 2018. I mainly undertake the teaching of Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (undergraduate), Machine Learning (graduate and undergraduate), Theory and Application of Machine Learning (Domestic doctoral students, international doctoral students), and other courses.

Recently I have had the opportunity to recommend master's students to work as research assistants at THE University of Hong Kong. The monthly salary is about 10000 RMB.
