主要从事金属有机配合物的设计与合成，以及性质等方面的研究，并结合微观技术研究配合物的生长；在日本博士后期间，主要从事维他命B12相关的光催化技术处理有机污染物以及一系列有机反应的理论及实验技术。2017年开始涉入瓜环化学领域，开始从事瓜环基超分子自组装实体的研究，也取得了一定的进展，在CrystEngComm等期刊发表3篇通讯文章。近5年来主持结题留学回国基金一项，江苏省产学研合作项目一项。作为主研人员参与了国家自然科学基金两项。发表了学术论文20多篇，其中SCI论文12篇。目前指导研究生2名。同时也作为指导教师参与大学生创新创训项目，带领学生进行科学研究探索。

在教学工作中承担了无机化学、配位化学、大学化学、环境化学等专业课程的教学。现有国家级实验教材编写项目一项。在2018-2019学年，承担了指导学院新进校青年教师的备课和授课任务。
