本人长期从事环境微生物学研究,研究方向主要有土壤碳氮循环及其微生物学机制、病原微生物的拮抗机制及其检测技术、脆弱区生态系统的养分供应机制等方面。目前的研究成果主要集中在大气CO2升高条件下土壤微生物的分子生态学响应机制;土壤微生物学技术在可持续发展农业中的应用;稳定同位素示踪技术在氮元素循环中机理的研究。先后主持参与了国家自然科学基金十余项,在中英文期刊上发表论文27篇,其中第一作者和通讯作者13篇。近来我们团队在致力于利用基于高通量测序的基因组学、转录组学和代谢组学等技术深入揭示各领域中前沿科学问题的微生物学机制,同时也尝试将现有的成熟微生物学理论和工程技术应用于农业、医药、文保领域中,响应国家需求,积极参与校企合作和工程实践,发挥社会主义螺丝钉作用。

“但事耕耘,莫问收获。” ——不断加强自身专业的同时,将所学专业知识应用于学科建设和经济建设中。
积极参与管理专业学科的建设与发展。曾担任学院农业资源与环境系副主任,先后圆满完成三届院领导班子交待的院系工作,如管理和检查系教学计划、修订本科生和研究生培养方案、汇编教学大纲、新专业申报、“新农科”改革、硕士点评估、博士点申报、教育部专业评估、协调师生矛盾等工作。
促进国际交流。访问英国纽卡斯尔大学,宣扬中国文化和学校教育理念的同时,团结国内外10多个单位专家进行深入学术交流。
将专业知识服务于生产实践。自2015年以来一直对生物科技有限公司进行技术指导,如分子生物学在医药领域的应用、检测新冠病毒的试剂和仪器研发工作、城市水务的监测物联网、软件大数据、装备集成等方面进行了深入学习、交流和探讨。
