Shu-Chuan Chu, female, PhD, professor, and doctoral supervisor. Graduated from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in 1988 and received a PhD in Faculty of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Engineering from Flinders University, Australia, in 2004.  From 2004 to 2009, she worked in the Information Management Department of Cheng Shiu University in Taiwan. During this period, she implemented a total of 8 projects for the National Science Council of Taiwan, including chairing three projects and co-hosting five projects. From December 2009 to 2019, she served as a research fellow and adjunct associate professor in the School of Science and Engineering at Flinders University. During her tenure, she also participated in several Australian Research Council research projects. From September 1, 2019, to August 31, 2024, she served as professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering of Shandong University of Science and Technology. She is currently a professor at the School of Artificial Intelligence at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. From 2020 to 2023, she was selected for the list of the top 2% of the world's top scientists. To date, she has published more than 400 academic papers in domestic and foreign journals and conferences, of which more than 200 were indexed by SCI and more than 380 by EI, including 2 ESI highly cited papers, with a total of 10,500 citations and an h-index of 51, with the highest citation count more than 1100 times for a single article. She serves on the editorial board of Several SCI and EI journals. She has 17 years of experience in artificial intelligence research, including intelligent computing, image processing, data mining, smart city, and machine learning.
