Personal profile
Zijin Li is an Associate Professor at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, and a postdoctoral researcher at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he works with Prof. Ping Zhang, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
He received his B.S. in Mathematics from Nanjing University in 2012 and his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Nanjing University in 2019 under the guidance of Prof. Huicheng Yin. From 2016 to 2018, he was a visiting Ph.D. student at the University of California, Riverside, where he worked with Prof. Qi S. Zhang.
His research lies in partial differential equations and mathematical fluid mechanics, with particular interest in boundary value problems for the Navier–Stokes equations and related fluid models, especially those involving slip boundary conditions. He has published papers in journals such as Journal de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées, Journal of Functional Analysis, Calculus of Variations and Partial Differential Equations, Journal of Differential Equations, Science China Mathematics, Acta Mathematica Sinica, English Series, and Communications in Contemporary Mathematics.
He has led several research projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He has been recognized through the “Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Talents” program of Nanjing and the “Double Innovation Doctor” program of Jiangsu Province. He also serves as a reviewer for Math Reviews and zbMATH.
