Professor Abdul Rauf
Full Professor | Doctoral Supervisor | Master’s Supervisor, NUIST–University of Reading (United Kingdom) Joint Programme DDA (Master Program Supervisor )
Abdul Rauf is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor and Master Supervisor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST), and a Master’s supervisor in the NUIST–University of Reading (UK) joint programme in Data and Decision Analysis (DDA). He is a high-level introduced talent at NUIST in2019. He earned his PhD in Finance (Applied Economics) from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2019.
His research focuses on energy finance, energy economics, environmental economics, financial risk, and artificial intelligence applications in finance and energy economics. He also serves as a module leader/professor and research supervisor at the University of Reading, UK.

In 2024, awarded an NSFC Foreign Youth Project / Research Fund for International Scientists as Principal Investigator: “Research on the Mechanism of China’s Technological Innovation and Energy Transition under the Dual Carbon Goals” (Project No. W2433178; ongoing).

His work has appeared in leading journals, including Journal of Cleaner Production, Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, Sustainable Development, World Deveolpment, Journal of Environmental Management, Chaos, Solitons and Fractals, Energy, Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance, Finance Research Letters, and Sustainable Production and Consumption and many others.

Professor Rauf is actively recruiting motivated PhD and Master students with interests in energy finance, energy economics, environmental economics, financial risk, and AI applications in finance and economics. Academic Impact and Service
Professor Rauf serves as an Editorial Board Member/Academic Editor for internationally authoritative journals, including PLOS ONE (SCI), Heliyon (SCI), and Humanities and Social Sciences Communications (SSCI; CAS Tier 1). He serves as a Guest Editor for SCI journals such as Sustainability (MDPI), Frontiers in Energy Research, and Frontiers in Public Health. He is an invited reviewer for more than 100 SSCI/SCI journals. He has served as a keynote speaker or conference chair at international conferences, including ICSSED 2023 & 2024, ICCSMT 2023, TEES 2023, MSIEID 2023, and ICEMED 2026 (7+ events). He has presented his research findings at international academic conferences more than nine times.
