- Abstract:With the rapid advancement of Virtual Reality (VR) technology, VR games have gained significant popularity, with gesture interaction emerging as a key feature that enhances user engagement by enabling intuitive, real-time hand movement tracking. This study explores the design and implementation of gesture interactions in VR games, aiming to boost interactivity and immersion. Experimental results from 15 participants reveal that gesture interactions improve user experience, with high ratings for naturalness (4.26) and response speed (4.23). However, challenges with accuracy (3.96) and comfort (3.99) remain, pointing to issues like system misrecognition and user fatigue. The data further indicates that one-handed gestures are more efficient and natural than two-handed gestures. While gesture-based interactions significantly enhance immersion, improvements in accuracy and comfort are necessary. The study concludes that gesture interaction offers substantial potential for future VR game design, creating opportunities for greater user satisfaction and engagement.
