Personal profile
Jian Liu, Full Professor (Jiangsu Distinguished Professor), doctoral supervisor and master’s supervisor. His research focuses on operations management (inventory and pricing, service operations, game theory), power and energy systems optimization (electricity markets, smart charging for electric vehicles, transmission and energy storage, and decarbonization pathways), artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI policy and governance, AI behavior, interpretability, and reinforcement learning), and complex equipment development and intelligent manufacturing (full-lifecycle management, resilience and reliability of manufacturing supply chains, and development planning and research).
He has led four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and has published more than seventy papers in leading international and Chinese academic journals. He serves as an associate editor or guest editor for multiple international academic journals and has served on the program committees of international conferences.
He has supervised (including co-supervision) more than twenty master’s and doctoral students, five of whom received China’s National Graduate Scholarship. His graduates have joined major enterprises and public institutions, including the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Huawei Technologies, ZTE Corporation, Qingdao Airlines, Aluminum Corporation of China, SAIC Motor, Power Construction Corporation of China, and the Sichuan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Four students have continued their studies at leading universities in the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
