Jian Liu is a Full Professor and doctoral/master’s supervisor. His research interests include operations management and game theory, power and energy systems optimization, artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as complex equipment development and intelligent manufacturing.

He has led multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and has published more than 70 papers in leading international and Chinese academic journals. He has been selected for several provincial- and ministerial-level high-level talent programs.

He currently serves as an associate editor or guest editor for several international academic journals and has long been involved in the organization and review activities of international academic conferences.

He has supervised (including co-supervision) more than 20 master’s and doctoral students, five of whom received the National Graduate Scholarship. His graduates have joined major enterprises and institutions such as the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Huawei, ZTE, SAIC Motor, and Power Construction Corporation of China, with several students continuing their studies at universities in the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
