Personal Profile

Zhaodong Sun is an Associate Professor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. He received his Ph.D. from the Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis (CMVS ) at the University of Oulu, Finland. His research areas include physiological signal processing, radar signal analysis, and computer vision. Specific research focuses on physiological signal measurement based on millimeter-wave radar and facial video, as well as intelligent sensing and imaging technologies using millimeter-wave radar. He has published several papers as first author or corresponding author in top journals and conferences such as TPAMI, ECCV, AAAI, IEEE TCSVT, and IEEE J-BHI. He serves as a reviewer for international conferences and journals including TIFS, TMM, TCSVT, TPAMI, TIP, J-BHI,  TBIOM, ECCV, CVPR, ICCV, ICASSP, ACMMM, ACCV, WACV, ICLR, ICML, and NeurIPS. He has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province. His work on remote physiological signal measurement was reported by the Finnish media outlet Kaleva. It was nominated for Best Paper Award at the IJCB Biometrics Conference 2024.
