Graduated from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, with a Ph.D. in Electrical, Computer, and Software Engineering. Long-term research focuses on model generalization, domain adaptation, transfer learning, time series analysis, and human activity recognition. Received the Microsoft Imagine Cup Big Idea Challenge New Zealand Top 4 and Global Top 50 award, as well as the IEEE Andrew P. Sage Best Transactions Paper Award. Published multiple papers as the sole first author in journals such as Pattern Recognition, Knowledge-based Systems, and IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, and serves as a reviewer for international journals including Neural Networks and Pervasive and Mobile Computing. Has nearly 10 years of work, living, and entrepreneurial experience in New Zealand, and is familiar with the research and industry-academia ecosystems in New Zealand and parts of Australia. Has long been responsible for English-medium teaching at the University of Auckland, demonstrating strong English communication skills and cross-cultural collaboration experience. Previously served as a technical lead at a leading AI company in New Zealand, leading multiple AI deployment projects; co-founded a New Zealand AI startup and secured investment; also engaged in business intelligence analysis and ERP system optimization for a leading Australian company, possessing a strong business operations perspective.
